Focus Garden
Every focus session you finish plants a tree. Earn Sun, unlock trees with your streak, and look back on a garden of your work.
The Focus Garden turns your focus into something you can see. Each finished focus session plants a tree on today's island, and over weeks the islands add up to a garden. Open it from the garden card on the Home tab.
- FreeA tree for every session. Finish a focus session and a tree takes root on today’s island. The longer you focus, the bigger it grows.
- FreeEarn Sun. Focusing earns Sun. Spend it in the tree shop on new species for your garden.
- FreeStreak trees. Pine, Maple, Willow, Sakura and Redwood unlock as your streak grows, from 7 days to a full year.
- Free + ProStreak Shields. A shield covers a missed day so your streak survives. Hold one at a time for free, or three with Pro.
- Free + ProGarden history. Browse this month’s garden for free. Earlier months and the Year view come with Pro.
- ProHoliday and epic trees. Plant Halloween, Christmas, Tết and other holiday characters in season, and buy epic trees like Ginkgo and Moonlight.
- FreeBadges and streaks. Sixteen pixel badges for focus milestones and streaks, from your first session to 250.
A tree for every session
When a focus session runs to the end, a tree takes root on today's island. How big it grows depends on how long you focused:

On the Classic look of the timer, you can watch the tree grow inside the dial while the session runs.
If you stop a focus session before it ends, Porotimer asks first — Keep growing, or Stop and leave it wither. A stopped session leaves a withered sprout on the island instead of a tree. It earns no Sun and does not count towards your trees for the day. Breaks never plant anything.
Choosing what to plant
The tree you plant is your seed. Pick it before you start:
- Tap the tree under the countdown on the Classic dial to open Choose a seed.
- Or tap the plant preview in the duration sheet, which also shows how big the tree will grow at the length you picked.
- Or tap a tree in the garden's collection and choose Plant this.
Once a session is running, its time and tree are locked until it ends.
Today's island
The first plots on the island mark your daily goal. Reach the goal while you are on a streak of 7 days or more and today's land comes into bloom.
Seasonal decorations in Settings changes the ground with the seasons and adds holiday skies to today's land. Turn it off if you prefer a plain island.
Sun and the tree shop
Sun is what your focus earns. You get:
- 1 Sun for every minute of a finished focus session.
- 50 Sun for each day you reach your daily goal.
- A one-time bonus when your streak reaches a milestone:

Spend Sun in the garden's Collection, which you can filter to Owned, Streak or Shop. A tree you buy is yours to plant from then on.

Streak trees
Your streak is the number of days in a row with at least one finished focus session. Days covered by a Streak Shield count too.
Some trees can only be grown, not bought. They unlock when your best streak reaches their mark:

A streak tree stays unlocked once you have earned it, even if your streak later breaks.
Streak Shields
A Streak Shield covers a missed day so your streak survives it. Shields cost 300 Sun each. Buy one from the Sun card in the garden.
You can hold one shield at a time on the free plan, or three with Pro. If your Pro subscription ends while you hold more than one, you keep them and they still work; you just can't buy more until you are under the free limit.
You don't have to do anything to use a shield. When you have one and there is a single missed day in the last week — a one-day gap between two days you focused, or yesterday — Porotimer spends the shield on it automatically. The covered day shows a shield in the garden instead of trees. A shield can't bridge two missed days in a row.
If a session from that day turns up later — synced from another device, for example — the shield is refunded and the day shows its trees.
Garden history
The garden has three views:
- Week — the last seven days, one island each.
- Month — a calendar of the month with a small island for every day, and the month's totals.
- Year — each month of the year as one island.
Tap a day to see what grew on it. On the free plan you can browse the current month. Earlier months and the Year view come with Pro.
Holiday and epic trees
Holiday characters are Pro trees you can plant while their holiday lasts. Only one holiday's characters are offered at a time, and some holidays only appear in the regions that celebrate them.

Outside the holiday, Pro members still see the characters in the collection, marked with the date they return. Holiday trees are never bought with Sun.
The epic trees — Ginkgo, Wisteria and Moonlight — are the top of the shop. Buying one needs Pro and the Sun price. An epic tree you have bought stays yours to plant even if Pro ends.
Badges
Badges mark your milestones, drawn as pixel coins and flames. Open them from the Settings tab. There are 16:
- Nine focus badges — for opening Porotimer, then for 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 150 and 250 finished focus sessions.
- Seven streak badges — for streaks of 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180 and 365 days. Each one pays the Sun bonus in the table above.
